Flickr: UK Digital Economy Bill for Photographers

The Digital Economy Bill will have huge implications for photographers and even for the 3 people in this world who don’t take photos.

While there is a growing opposition action in the form of letter templates to MP’s and lobbying. Some of thought it wise to start discussing and planning what we can do, as owners of our photographs who wish to share them publicly, to protect those images from subversive theft or just becoming orphaned.

Post images if you like, but it would be good to post one that demonstrate techniques to protect them. As Flickr is one of the biggest, if not the biggest photo sharing sites, it seems apt to start here.

We hope these discussion spill out and expand, if the DEB is passed, the affects will felt beyond image creators.
